Milestones

The Environmental Engineering Program was officially opened in 2012.
An international partnership was established with the National University of Kaohsiung, covering student and faculty exchange as well as joint research in environmental fields.
With support from PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) and PT Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMs), the program inaugurated its signature laboratory for water, wastewater, soil, and air testing. The facility supports teaching, research, and community service, making it a cornerstone of the program.
Additional classrooms and student spaces were introduced on the 41st floor, improving on-campus learning facilities for Environmental Engineering students.
The Environmental Engineering Program was accredited “Baik Sekali” by LAM-TEKNIK under official decree No. 0147/SK/LAM-Teknik/AS/IV/2024, marking a strong achievement in academic quality.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management was awarded to the faculty’s laboratory system, ensuring Environmental Engineering labs operate at global standards for teaching and research.
Bakrie University expanded its campus facilities with the opening of the 42nd floor, adding new lecture rooms, collaboration areas, and an auditorium for university-wide use.
